The Africa You May Not Be Aware Of
24 Sep 2017 Sunday, Mount Faber SAFRA Ballroom
Lovers of Africa, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers converge at Mount Faber SAFRA in support of Julian W. and Adam Chapman as they present a slice of Africa through the work they do.
A professional wildlife photographer, Julian W. is a frequent visitor of Africa and her national parks. Julian’s love for Africa shines through as he shares about his safari close encounters and photography tips.
Adam Chapman works with &Beyond, a luxury tour operator that is very much dedicated to conservation work in Africa and around the world. Rhinos without Borders has been their project for the past decade, which aims to protect the endangered rhino population from illegal poaching in South Africa by translocating 100 rhinos to Botswana. Beyond being told the translocation of each rhino costs US$45,000, the audience was shown a recent translocation operation, highlighting the complexity and security cover required in moving rhinos overland.
The High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Singapore is proud to support this seminar and its worthy cause towards Rhinos without Borders.
