The High Commission of Rwanda in Singapore was officially opened in 2008, after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Rwanda and Singapore in 2005. Rwanda’s only High Commission in Southeast Asia, the High Commission in Singapore also serves as the non-resident Mission to Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. The High Commission is headed by His Excellency Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, who was appointed High Commissioner in October 2019.
The goal of the High Commission is to maintain and strengthen friendly diplomatic relations and cooperation that exist between Rwanda and Singapore, as well as to support economic and cultural exchanges between both countries. The High Commission is always on hand to provide any requisite consular and administrative assistance to Rwandans residing within our jurisdiction, potential visitors to Rwanda and interested investors.
